About
With over six decades of experience, Bob Owens is a well known name in the industry. A trained farrier since 1946, Bob is well known at the track as a good “leg-man” and is considered one of the best at stopping speedy cutting. He is a licensed “A” track trainer in 8 different racing jurisdictions for both Thoroughbreds and Quarter Horses. He is also familiar with Arabians and Appaloosas.
On the racetrack or in the show ring, his wins are too numerous to count. He has successfully shown english and western, jumpers, raced point to point, and driven fine harness horses before concentrating solely on stock horses.
When he isn’t training horses, he robs trains for charity with the Garnett Valley Gang as “Curly Bob.”
Bob offers a full range of training services, from starting colts to finished bridle horses, no matter what the breed. We also stand at stud Krogs Jazzy Doc, a 1998 Blue Roan Stallion, and always have quality young horses for sale.
